h/t AnimalNYI’m a bit of a purist and seeing stuff like this is rather upsetting. I take pride in my work by stretching my own canvases, gessoing, even building the frames. On the other hand, artists like Damien Hirst have transformed art into an assembly line. What of the actual work is his you ask? Just the idea. The rest of physical production is made by his army of minion workers. And Hirst isn’t alone. There’s many others just like him. I could never do this. -Allan
